City Business Saver GrantAs part of Reignite Adelaide, the City of Adelaide is offering support to micro and small businesses in the city that have been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions. Eligible businesses can apply for a cash reimbursement equivalent to 50% of the third quarter 2021-22 financial year rate. Applications close midnight 31 March. Hot off the press today! NEXTDC is investing $100 million in a state-of-the-art data centre right in the heart of Adelaide's central business district. The Australian-owned and run ASX 100 technology company will make 211 Pirie Street their new home, constructing SA’s first defence standard data centre, creating 150 local jobs. The announcement comes after a successful EOI submission process by the City of Adelaide. PwC AustraliaPwC Australia will be creating 2000 jobs at a new Skilled Service Hub in Rundle Mall. CreaTech City ChallengeWe’re looking for SA innovators, entrepreneurs and businesses to design and deliver highly visible creative technology solutions. Grants totalling $300,000 will be available. City dining voucher promotion – business registrationsAEDA is giving away 25,000 vouchers to encourage people to eat out in the city at participating businesses. Vouchers will be redeemed for dine-in food at any time of day – breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any time between. There's still got time to register your business to get involved. Applications close 21 February and public redemptions will occur from 21 March to 6:00 am 1 June. This is a joint initiative of City of Adelaide and the Government of South Australia, delivered by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency. Commonwealth Bank to open Tech Hub at Lot FourteenAnother innovative corporate brand will be joining Lot Fourteen. Commonwealth Bank have announced that they will establish a Technology Hub here in SA, being the first tenant in Lot Fourteen's Entrepreneur and Innovation Centre. The hub will create 150 technology specialist roles within five years, including software engineers, data scientists and cyber security specialists.
