Founded in 2002, Carleton Model NATO is an annual student-run and organized conference/simulation hosted by Carleton’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. The conference brings together undergraduate students from across Canada to participate in a simulation of NATO alliance decision-making and crisis management and engagement with NATO country experts and policymakers.
CMNATO-2024 will be held on Feb. 22 to 25, 2024 at Delta Ottawa City Centre Hotel.
There are still several vacant positions at the CMNATO24 Secretariat, and we are seeking MA or PhD students in International Affairs, Political Science, History, or related fields to serve as crucial member of the Model management team. These are volunteer / extracurricular positions that will require 1 to 3 hours of appointees’ efforts weekly in the period from September to February and the attendance of the conference.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of and interest in international security issues and NATO policies. Organizational and conference planning experience and familiarity with Model NATO or Model UN is a plus. Detailed description of the position is available on request.
Interested candidates should submit a brief motivation letter and resume to carletonmnato@gmail.com prior to Sep 29, 2023. Every application will be carefully considered.
