Library and Information Week
This Library and Information Week, stroll through some fabulous photos from the opening day of Waverley Central Library. A converted bowling alley on Ebley Street provided the first dedicated library building in Waverley in 1967. Until then, the library service operated solely out of an annex to Waverley Woollahra Art School on Bondi Road. There were fewer bowling balls in the new library, and rather more books- more than 250,000 by the time the Waverley Library we have today was built!
Library Hours: Monday - Friday: 9.30am - 9pm
Saturdays: 9.30am - 3pm
Sundays: 1 - 5pm
