Hello Class of 2028!

Welcome to your last day of New Student Orientation (NSO)! Below you'll find more information about today's events. Events bolded and marked [MANDATORY] are events that you must attend.

For today’s weather, we’re expecting a hot, sunny day with a high of 87 degrees. Remember to stay hydrated while participating in outdoor events.

If you have any questions or would like to know more information about any of the NSO programs, look for our well-trained volunteers, the Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS), all around campus in light blue and dark blue polo shirts.

Today's Calendar

[MANDATORY] School Specific Events

Various Locations | 9:30am-4pm

School-specific events are coordinated by their respective undergraduate school. See the first page of the NSO calendar (pdf or physical copy) for details.

[MANDATORY] Convocation

Franklin Field | 7pm-8pm

This formal ceremony inducts the Class of 2028 into the Penn community. See your RA for details. Doors open at 6:15pm. Penn ID and NSO wristband required. No bags permitted. For additional information, visit convocation.upenn.edu.

[MANDATORY] Convocation Dessert Reception

Shoemaker Green | 8:15pm-9:30pm

Learn about transferring credits, registration, and course selection for the School of Engineering.

Dining Café Hours For
Monday, August 26

Dining café hours throughout the week of NSO can be viewed on Penn Dining website. The options for today are listed below. 

Breakfast

Hill, Kings Court English House, 1920 Commons dining cafés (7:30am-10am)

Lunch

Hill, Kings Court English House, 1920 Commons, Falk Hillel dining cafés (11am-2pm)

Dinner

Hill, Kings Court English House, 1920 Commons, Lauder dining, Falk Hillel cafés (4pm-6pm)

Halal is offered at Kings Court English House. Kosher dining is offered at Falk Hillel.
