Novel Cigarette Pricing Policy Linked to Decrease in Sales in California City

A new study led by Justin White found that an Oakland, Calif. law requiring cigarette prices to increase to a minimum of $8 per pack led to a decline in sales, suggesting that these "minimum floor price laws" could complement tobacco taxation to reduce smoking rates. Learn more.
