OUR PEOPLE
Resources for School Leaders

Dear Friends and Partners,

Summer is a season for progress, reflection, and preparation for what comes next.

In this month's newsletter, we're sharing a behind-the-scenes look at Cox Academy's modular construction process, highlighting Blueprint team members who connected with students through career exploration events, and offering summer reading and listening resources for school leaders thinking ahead about future facility needs.

Together, these stories reflect the heart of Blueprint's work: creating high-quality learning environments today while helping build pathways of opportunity for the future.

Warmly,

John Sun

Behind the Build: Cox Academy Takes Shape

The Blueprint NorCal team joined our partners at Education for Change Public Schools for a visit to American Modular Systems to see the progress being made on Cox Academy's new campus.

Over the past six months, American Modular Systems has worked closely with the project team to design classrooms and support spaces that meet the school's needs while ensuring a smooth construction process. Seeing the buildings take shape firsthand was an exciting milestone, and we look forward to their arrival on campus later this summer.

Thank you to American Modular Systems for hosting our team and for the strong partnership helping bring this project to life. Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, we're creating a high-quality learning environment that will serve Cox Academy students and families for years to come.

HIGHLIGHTS

Building Futures Beyond School Facilities

Blueprint team members connected with students in both Northern and Southern California to share career pathways.

Jennifer Afdahl Rice represented Blueprint at Lighthouse and Lodestar High School career days, introducing students to the many roles involved in creating school facilities. It was especially meaningful to connect with students learning in campuses that Blueprint helped bring to life.

In Los Angeles, Michele Wray Khateri joined The Intern Project (TIP) Summer 2026 Orientation as a guest speaker on the Employer Panel at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. She shared her career journey with students preparing to begin their summer internships and had the opportunity to connect with several of Blueprint's summer interns as they embark on this important next step in their professional development.

Thank you to Lighthouse Community Public Schools, LA Promise Fund/The Intern Project for partnering with us to inspire and support students as they explore their futures.
