This special pānui contains important information for all our applicants who use Te Pūahatanga.

Te Māngai Pāho is launching a new version of our funding portal, Te Pūahatanga tomorrow afternoon, Thursday 18 November 2021.

Read on to find out about the changes we've made and how to use the updated portal.

When is the upgrade happening?
Te Pūahatanga will be unavailable between 2-4pm tomorrow afternoon, while the upgrade is being carried out. We apologise if this this causes any inconvenience for you or disruptions to your mahi. Logging in for the first time after it is back online will look different, but we've included some resources below to help you get familiar with the key changes to your dashboard. Most importantly, you will still have access to all your details, milestones, payments, and contracts.

What's changing with Te Pūahatanga?
The first and most noticeable change is an update to the look and feel of the portal according to our branding guidelines. Earlier this year, we launched our new and rebranded website. This version of Te Pūahatanga will align our funding portal to our website.

Second, the most significant change involves the ability to add multiple users to a single account. Since the portal was created, the sign-up email address has been the unique identifier, and it hasn’t been possible to add more than one user to company accounts. The upgrade will allow key personnel within the company or a specific project to be added as users. All users will be able to access applications, milestones and contracts under the company using their own login.

We've enabled multi-factor/two-factor authentication, adding additional security to your account.

We have also made some changes to our funding applications and offers of funding. You can now submit conditional information as part of your offer of funding via Te Pūahatanga, further ensuring Te Pūahatanga canvasses the end-to-end funding process. You will also have the ability to request edits to an application once submitted or after the funding deadline has lapsed. Please note, you can only make changes to a submitted application. This does not mean you will be able to submit an application past its close date, unless approved by the Kaihautū.

So here’s a recap of the key changes:

  • We've updated the colours and fonts according to our Te Māngai Pāho branding guidelines, aligning the portal to our website.
  • Multiple users can be added to a single account – company or individual.
  • Enabled multi-factor / two-factor authentication.
  • Conditional funding information can be uploaded as part of the letter of offer.
  • Requests to make edits to an application once submitted or after the deadline.

What do you need to do?
The new version of Te Pūahatanga will be available tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon from 4pm onwards. Before you sign into your account, we recommend that you reset your password by clicking here. Once you're logged in, you will be given a short tour of the changes to Te Pūahatanga.

Once you have become familiar with your dashboard, you can enable two-factor authentication to strengthen the security of your sign-in details by going into your individual profile. In your individual profile, you can update your contact information and also manage your email notification preferences.

As mentioned above, the portal now allows a company to add multiple users to the account. Both key staff and collaborators can have their own access to the company account. Users are managed by the company (or account manager) and can be added or removed as required. Te Māngai Pāho cannot add or remove users to your company account on your behalf, this feature is self-managing by each account holder.
