Engineering student Jeffrey Martinovic has designed hundreds of crosswords, including nine published in The New York Times, using puzzle-creating skills that enhance his mechanical engineering studies.

Physics and astronomy professor Paul Wiegert and PhD candidate Cole Gregg developed a computer model to study our solar system, the next closest solar system – Alpha Centauri – and the interstellar activity between them.
