Intended programme: week commencing 5 May 2024
People travelling between Baypark and Bayfair will continue to see several overnight road and lane closures, and associated detours in the new year.
From Monday 6 May to Wednesday 8 May (from approximately 7pm to 5am each night), Maunganui Road northbound between SH2/SH29A Te Maunga interchange and Bayfair roundabout will be closed to allow for the construction of overhead signage. A detour via Sandhurst interchange, SH2, the Bayfair flyover and Golf Road roundabout will apply for all vehicles. Road users wishing to access the Bayfair roundabout, or travel to Matapihi, will then need to follow the detour outlined above (Golf Road, Oceanbeach Road and Girven Road).
Closures and detours will vary night to night, depending on site requirements and progress, and people are asked to allow extra time, follow signposted detours and drive with caution through the project site. To minimise impact, works are undertaken at night where possible.
