Uniting research, education and advocacy

The Centre brings together diverse expertise in research, clinical care and education to improve children’s health, development and wellbeing. In light of this work, we are particularly proud of the recognition of Centre Director Prof Sharon Goldfeld on her appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her significant contribution to paediatric medicine as a clinician and academic, and to public health research.

This edition features:

  • the importance of service integration (the ‘glue’) and Child and Family Hubs in our upcoming July webinar
  • a case study from Logan, Queensland on facilitating shared decision making in place-based initiatives
  • opportunities to improve child health outcomes through supplementing household income
  • a response to the recent launch of Australia’s first Early Years Strategy
  • resources focused on reducing inequities in child dental health.
