Safe Church training will be even better value in 2022, with fees being reduced further.

For any of our training sessions, we will only charge your congregation or ministry a token fee of $5 a person.

This means for a full day Level 1 workshop, which includes three sessions, the total cost will be $15 a person.

Still Unseen & Ignored

‘In 2010, 1 in 6 of respondents did nothing when faced with a child they believed was being abused. In 2021, the result was exactly the same.’

A paper from the Australian Childhood Foundation has tracked community knowledge and attitudes about child abuse and child protection in Australia. The disturbing conclusion is that child abuse remains out of sight and out of mind as a community concern. The results are virtually identical to those in earlier studies.
In 2021, child abuse rates lower than problems with public transport and roads on a list of community concerns. In 2021, seven out of ten respondents could not even remember hearing anything about child abuse in the media in the past 12 months!

A man who lodged a civil claim in Victoria’s Supreme Court alleging abuse by a Catholic Priest, after two and a half years of litigation, has been offered an out-of-court settlement worth $3.7 million by the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.

If you are unable to travel to a workshop, Level 1 and Level 2 training is also available online

Due to Christmas closure very soon, registrations for Level 1 and Refresher online Safe Church Training, will not give you access to the system until after 10 January 2022.  You are welcome to register but you will not be able to commence your training.

If you already have access to the system and complete any of the online Safe Church training, including the Level 2 training over Christmas, it will not be reviewed or processed until after 10 January 2022.
