Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident or Family Member,

COVID-19 Update: Residents and Families at Calvary St Francis

Further to our communication yesterday I am writing to inform you that no further cases have been detected amongst residents at Calvary St Francis.

The number of positive cases at Calvary St Francis remains at four (4) residents. Staff are in contact with the residents’ families and keeping them informed.

For the safety of residents and to help stop the spread of infections, the current restrictions remain in place and the residents are isolating and receiving all care in their rooms.

A further round of PCR testing will be conducted across all residents tomorrow 1 February 2022. We will be in contact as soon as these results become available.

We are continuing to liaise closely with the Hunter New England Public Health Unit as to when the current restrictions can be eased. We anticipate our next update to you will be towards the end of the week, or as more information becomes available.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Sincerely,

Sandeep Kandel

General Manager, Aged Care.
