Welcome Back Quakers!

Whether you were on campus last semester or are moving in for the first time, we are glad to see your smiling (masked) faces! Since you did not receive an in-person New Student Orientation last year, this year we are hosting a first-of-its-kind Second-Year Orientation (SYO). SYO will feature some of Penn's classic orientation events like a Night at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as programming tailored specifically to Second-Year needs. Please note that all SYO events are optional.

For today’s weather, we are expecting a hot, humid day with a high of 91 degrees and a 60% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Please wear a mask at all orientation events. Additionally, all students are now required to complete PennOpen Pass daily symptom checks. You may be asked to show a Green Pass at orientation events, so fill out your daily symptom check here.

In case you need to change your arrival time due to inclement weather or other unforeseen travel challenges, please email living@upenn.edu with any concerns.

President and Provost’s Second-Year Family Welcome

College Green; Rain Location: Penn Commons | 2:45pm-3:15pm

Second-Year families join President Amy Gutmann and Interim Provost Beth Winkelstein for remarks at the steps of College Hall.

Dinner

Various Locations | 5pm-8pm

Hill, Kings Court English, Lauder, and 1920 Commons dining cafes.  Shabbat service and dinner at Hillel, 7:30pm.

Late Night Activities Fair

College Green; Rain Location: Penn Commons​ | 11pm-1pm

Meet various student organization reps and participate in a late night party with food and activities.

COVID-19 Reminders

Upon arrival to campus, all students must be tested once for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status. Click here to register for your gateway COVID-19 test.
