The late and full summer exam schedule is now available. Your student can find their schedule on the Scheduling and Examination Services website, through Carleton360 or the Carleton Mobile app.

Fall Orientation

Registration for Fall Orientation is now open! Fall Orientation provides incoming first-year students with a week of fun activities, a chance to meet fellow students and an opportunity to gain the skills necessary to transition to university life at Carleton.

Returning undergraduate students can meet new people and access a great lineup of events with the upper year event package.

First Year Connections

First Year Connections is a peer-to-peer mentorship program to help first-year students successfully transition to university life by connecting them with peer mentors. First-year students are paired with an upper year student trained in providing resources and support for the first six weeks of the term.

Have a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and Need to Prove Your Student Attends Carleton?

Students who require Verification of Student Status to obtain their RESP funding can make their request electronically in Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360). Completed requests are emailed directly to your student’s Carleton email account within two business days of request.

Student Parking Permits

Due to the high demand for parking on campus, student parking permits are only available for students with U-Pass waivers for the 2025-2026 school year. Visit the U-Pass opt-out webpage for instructions on applying for a U-Pass waiver (available to students who live outside the transit zone). Students with extenuating circumstances may apply for a parking permit through the special request process. Each application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Fall U-Pass

The U-Pass is a discount transit pass for eligible Carleton students, offering unlimited travel on OC Transpo and STO buses and trains for those enrolled in 1.5 credits or more in the fall and winter terms.

The Campus Card and U-Pass are a combined card. The fall U-Pass will be activated automatically the first time a student taps their card on transit in the fall pass period, beginning Monday, September 1, 2025.

Helping Students Connect and Grow: Group Counselling & Workshops

University life can be exciting but also challenging— and students don’t have to navigate it alone. In addition to individual counselling, Counselling Services offers group counselling led by trained counsellors to help students build coping strategies, learn new skills and connect with peers who may be facing similar experiences. Visit the Current Students website to discover the different support groups open in the fall. Students can register on the Mental Health and Wellness website or book a counselling appointment online.

The Global Opportunities and International Student Services Office

Carleton is pleased to introduce the Global Opportunities and International Student Services Office (GO-ISSO), formerly the International Student Services Office!

With the new name, GO-ISSO continues to foster a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment for international students while promoting cross-cultural engagement and global learning opportunities for all students at Carleton. Some of the many services offered include transition and engagement support for international students, including immigration advising, and global learning opportunities through incoming and outgoing exchange programs and the International Internship Program. Your Raven can visit the team on the fourth floor of the MacOdrum Library.

Is Your Student Eligible for the Co-op Program?

Is your student interested in gaining paid professional work experience in 2026? If they are in a program offering co-op and heading into second or third year, they can apply via mySuccess (log in through Carleton360) by Sunday, August 31, 2025 to see if they qualify.

API Software: Dos and Don’ts in Job Hunting

Application Programming Interface (API) software can be used to automate the job application process. While this may sound like a time-saving strategy, it can actually get applications rejected (and cause other issues). Career Services outlines what to do and not do when using this software for job hunting.

The Career Services Job Board

The Career Services Job Board is exclusive to the Carleton community and offers an array of job opportunities including full-time, part-time, new grad, co-op and more. The Job Board is a valuable tool that students can use to gain work experience and begin their career journeys. Career Services outlines what you and your student need to know about the Job Board.

Educational Costs

Estimating the cost of a year of study varies from student to student and depends on the program and number of credits they are registered in. Tuition and compulsory ancillary/miscellaneous fees include classes, U-Pass, academic, administrative and career support, lab and project resources, library access, athletic facilities and supplemental health plan. The Educational Costs webpage has estimated fees for each program of study at Carleton University.
