Click here September Newsletter In a world that constantly evolves, one thing remains unwavering: the importance of speaking up to stop harm. The ability to blow the whistle and raise a concern is the cornerstone upon which accountability, transparency, justice, and progress are built. We are thrilled that The Future of Whistleblowing conference is now just one week away, a momentous event that will celebrate Protect’s 30th anniversary and delve deep into the successes, innovations and challenges of whistleblowing. The event will explore what we can expect in the coming months, and reflect on how these debates resonate internationally and through wider society. We will have 8 interactive and distinctive panel discussions. Join us to hear campaigner Zelda Perkins debate NDAs with the President of the Law Society, Gavin Millar KC talking SLAPPs with Meirion Jones, former editor of the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. Robert Spano, the former president of the ECtHR, will compare international notes with Tom Devine (GAP). The CEO of the Office of Environmental Protection will discuss greenwashing with environmental whistleblower Desiree Fixler, and we’ll also hear from the Government minister in charge of the review of the whistleblowing framework. Our exciting line-up of speakers also includes heads of whistleblowing at NatWest Group, Nationwide and the Wellcome Trust, as well as policy makers and, of course, whistleblowers speaking about their experiences, making this an event not to be missed. Do check our speakers page, and brochure.
