Backing mental health in local footy

Perth Football League (PFL) and Healthway have joined forces to champion mental health and wellbeing across Perth’s vibrant football community. Reaching more than 75 clubs, this partnership offers members a range of new initiatives to foster a healthier, more connected sporting environment.

At the centre of this collaboration is the launch of the Member Assistance Program, a free and confidential counselling service available to all PFL members. This initiative ensures that everyone involved has direct access to professional mental health support.

Share your voice on alcohol harm

Cancer Council WA’s Alcohol Programs Team has launched a new initiative to raise awareness of alcohol-related harm by amplifying community voices. The team is seeking individuals with lived experience of alcohol use or harm, or personal perspectives on issues such as alcohol marketing (including targeting young people), and the impact of online sales and delivery.
Organisations interested in engaging community voices are also encouraged to reach out.
