Click here OSHA Recognizes New CDC Vaccination Guidance Indicating continued movement toward the final stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has recognized the CDC’s updated guidance relaxing masking, testing, and social distancing recommendations for people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. While OSHA has not yet updated its own guidance to reflect the CDC’s new recommendations, it has announced its intent to do so. In the meantime, OSHA instructs employers to refer to the CDC’s guidance for information on appropriate safety measures for fully-vaccinated individuals. OSHA’s recognition of CDC’s new guidance was expected, and does not change CAPLAW’s prior analysis of the issues CAAs should consider in light of the CDC’s recommendations. CAPLAW continues to closely monitor new and updated guidance from OSHA and other federal agencies and will update the Community Action network accordingly.
