This campaign has been incredibly busy for us this election. We've done some things very differently for this campaign.
First, we hired OhYa! Marketing to help us with our digital and social media marketing for the campaign. They have been terrific providing us great voter penetration in West Hartford with videos and platform content.
In addition, we've held a couple of very successful meet and greet and fundraising events. We have been so proud that many of you have stepped forward and donated to the campaign.
One of the things that we continue to work on is changing the culture in the Town of West Hartford. Let me share a quick story.
A couple of weeks ago I was speaking with a voter in West Hartford who had a business he ran out of his home. He wrote a very nice check as a donation to the campaign. I noticed he lived on a busy street and asked if he would help us by putting a lawn sign for our candidates in his yard. The resident refused. While he wanted to support us, he was scared that he would lose business in West Hartford because people would find out he supported Republicans. Can you imagine? Yet, this is status quo in the town and we need to change it!
The good news is, we are slowly seeing a change. When we participated in the Park Road Parade, there were many supporters that came to our tent you can read about the event below. We continue to see support through emails and social media posts. Our videos are getting an unbelievable number of hits and we're seeing great volunteers helping us with our canvassing.
Speaking of new things we're doing this campaign...
In addition to using a digital and social media marketing firm, we also employed a printing company that specializes in sending and tracking absentee ballot applications. Our service mailed out over 1,250 absentee ballot applications to historically Republican voters that have needed them in the past. It was a very successful campaign.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a major CALL TO ACTION for all of our readers. Mary Fay is trying to introduce an Anti-Crime Petition/Resolution for the Town of West Hartford. We need all of you to write an email to the Mayor and Town Manager (as well as to the rest of the Town Council members) demanding that this resolution be on the agenda for the next Town Council meeting. Please see below for details.

The State GOP is also holding its annual fundraising dinner on Thursday, October 28, at 7:00pm ET. The guest speaker is none other than U.S. Senator John Kennedy, the outspoken and witty Republican Senator from Louisiana. Read below to learn about the event and how you can purchase tickets!
PLEASE DON'T FORGET...we have our West Hartford Republican Town Council meeting this Monday, October 18, at 7:00pm at the West Hartford Town Hall. You will see an invitation with our agenda by this Friday. Please consider attending our meeting as we'll have much to discuss.

VOTE ROW B ONLY!!!
You'll be hearing and seeing this phrase often between now and Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 2nd. But what exactly does it mean and why is it important?
For Town Council in West Hartford, each voter is allowed to cast up to but not more than six votes with one vote per candidate. However, there is no regulation that requires a voter to use all six votes. With our three candidates running for Town Council (Mary Fay, Mark Zydanowicz and Alberto Cortes) if you use three of your votes for each of them and use your other three votes for non-Republican candidates, you actually hurt our Republican candidate's chances of earning a seat on the Town Council. This same holds true for the Board of Education voting. You have 3 votes but should use only one of your votes and only vote for our Republican Candidate, Dr. Gayle Harris.
Bottom line - if you want Republican candidates to win in November, then please, only vote for the Republican candidates, which will be located on the ballot in Row B.
We have confirmed that the Republican candidates will be listed on Row B for your ballots (we won't bore you with the details of why that is but trust us, our candidates will all be on Row B).
So, please remember, whether you vote in-person or by absentee ballot this year, if you want our candidates to win their seats for Town Council and Board of Education, please remember to only vote row B!

Please Email Town Manager/Mayor: Help Support Mary Fay's Anti-Crime Petition/Resolution
Friends of the RTC, we need your help now!!!! Mary Fay has delivered an Anti-Crime Petition/Resolution to the Town Manager in hopes of getting this on the agenda for the next West Hartford Town Council meeting.
Mayor Sheri Cantor and the Town Manager, Matt Hart, controls the agenda for the Town Council meetings and it appears that they may not add this to the agenda unless we put pressure on the Town Council to make sure that it's on there.
We need each and every one of you to please send an email today to Mayor Cantor and Town Manager Matt Hart demanding that Mary's Anti-Crime Petition/Resolution be added to the Town Council agenda. In fact, it would be great if you sent an email to the entire Town Council.
Here are the email addresses for the Mayor, the Town Manager and all of the other non-Republican members of the West Hartford Town Council:

Please be firm but respectful in your emails. Please provide your name and West Hartford street address as well as your telephone number. Please let them know that you completely support this Anti-Crime resolution and fully expect this will be on the agenda for the next West Hartford Town Council meeting. You should also mention that this Anti-Crime Resolution has been introduced in many other towns in Connecticut such as Rocky Hill, Newington and Wethersfield.
In your email, please be sure to cc our two Republican Town Council representatives, Mary Fay, Maryfay4WHCT@gmail.com and Christopher Williams, chriswilliamsforwhtc@gmail.com. We want to track how many emails are sent so we can communicate publicly the number of emails demanding that this Anti-Crime Resolution be added to the Town Council agenda before Election Day.
Once we successfully get this on to the Town Council agenda, we will ask that you attend the Town Council meeting to publicly support Mary and this Anti-Crime Resolution.

Candidates and Volunteers Work Together to Canvass Sedgwick Middle School District - September 18, 2021

An army of RTC member volunteers banded together on Saturday to canvass the Segdwick Middle School area, knocking on doors, speaking with voters and providing "palm cards" with information about our municipal candidates and where they stand on important issues facing West Hartford residents. Canvassing will continue every Saturday until Election Day.

Members of the West Hartford Republican Town Committee (RTC) worked together with Mary Fay going door-to-door in the Webster Hill School neighborhood, dropping off palm cards and taking requests from neighbors to place advertising lawn signs in their yards. There were many great conversations and the team was energized with such a great reception from the neighborhood!

On Wednesday, September 29, two of our Town Council candidates, Mary Fay and Alberto Cortes, held a "meet and greet" at The Fernwood Restaurant in the Elmwood section of West Hartford.
We were so thankful to have former House Republican Minority Leader, Themis Klarides, join us for the event. We spoke to some residents in the area with great conversations, gaining an even better understanding of the issue affecting residents in town.

Great Event for the West Hartford RTC and Republican Municipal Candidates at the Park Road Parade - October 2, 2021
What a great day at The Park Road Parade! We had a ton of traffic at our booth where we provided over 3 cases of cold bottled water, 3 Dunkin' Donuts "Boxes of Joe" coffee, and over 5 dozen donuts from Dunkin' Donuts to parade watchers. In addition, we gave out over 75 red, West Hartford Republican Town Committee balloons to kids and you could see them lined all along the parade route!
We also had parade patrons sign up to receive our newsletter and the candidates handed out their palm cards and donor cards. Not to mention, they had great conversations with West Hartford voters. Our Town Council candidates, Mary Fay, Mark Zydanowicz, and Alberto Cortes as well as our Board of Education candidate, Dr. Gayle Harris all did a great job walking and speaking with voters along the parade route!

What an incredible turnout for our Republican slate back on Thursday, October 7. In addition to many voters attending the event, former Republican Gubernatorial candidate, Bob Stefanowski, and his wife, Madison Republican Town Committee Chairwoman, Amy Stefanowski, came out to show their support! We really appreciated that they took time from their busy schedules to come join us.
