As one of our latest and greatest workshops, the Reimagining Mental Health workshop ended up bringing together over 20 participants over 2-days, with an additional dedicated session for our rangatahi held at 502 Rangatahi Ora! The project team from Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou were able to hold space in a respectable and safe manner for community members and service providers, from diverse backgrounds in Porirua, to share their personal and professional experiences with mental health and local mental health services. Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou are overwhelmed by the amount of courage and meaningful kōrero that was shared and represented in this workshop and would like to thank all that participated from a community and provider perspective. Stay connected via our website, or our social media channels (see at the bottom of the e-pānui!) Yes indeed! We had ANOTHER Reimagining workshop, with this round specifically on living with long term conditions - Diabetes. Another amazing turnout with around 20 community members coming together over 2 days to discuss and reimagine what an effective diabetes service could look like in Porirua. This Reimagining workshop highlighted the community's strong desire for important changes to better Porirua families living with diabetes. It also allowed service providers to engage with the community's voices and offer relevant recommendations. With this being our last Reimagining workshop for 2023, we would like to thank all participants across the diverse workshop sessions. Your valuable input on the various health and well-being topics has steered the path of Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou, and we're excited to reveal what's coming next!
