Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Albury & Districts: Outbreak Declared Over

I am pleased to inform residents and families that in line with Public Health Unit advice, we are now able to declare the outbreak over. All medically cleared residents can now de-isolate and are free to move around the home, and we are able to lift some of the current visitation restrictions at Calvary Albury & Districts.

Consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care, Calvary Albury & Districts will welcome more visitors back into the home from 19 April 2022. Some precautions will remain in place to help keep our residents, their visitors and our staff as safe as possible. Please see below:

Information for visitors

  • There is now no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day.
  • Visiting hours are from 11.00am to 6.00pm with last entry to the home at 5.00pm. This is to ensure all screening processes can be completed with our day staff.
  • We kindly ask that you continue to book your visit with us. Please call (02) 6057 1500 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm to make a booking.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE (including face masks and shields as appropriate) to wear whilst visiting. Staff assist you with donning (putting on) and doffing (removing) PPE correctly.
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, residents who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the home manager to discuss arrangements.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time, and very much look forward to receiving more visitors back into the home. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Amanda Bennett,

General Manager Aged Care.
