Kick off the weekend Friday with our Golf or Pickleball Tournaments, then join us that evening for Lucky Fest at the Seguin Schoolyard from 7–10 p.m.—featuring live music, great company, and plenty of fun. On Saturday, the celebration continues with tailgating before the Homecoming Football Game at 4 p.m.—come cheer on our Bulldogs and show your support for all of our Bulldog Royalty candidates! We can’t wait to see you back on campus for an unforgettable Homecoming weekend! Oct. 28 | Graduate and Professional School FairIs your student thinking about grad school? The Graduate and Professional School Fair, taking place on Oct. 28th from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the TLU Chapel, will provide students with the opportunity to connect with representatives from our graduate programs and other schools. Midterm Grades & BrainfuseEncourage your student to review their midterm grades and discuss any concerns with their professors as needed. Students can view their midterm grades by accessing the MyTLU portal, clicking on the Student tab, then selecting Transcripts and Grade Reports, and then clicking on “View Midterm Grade Report.” And don’t forget, Brainfuse is our online tutoring service, FREE for students. Students can access Brainfuse by logging into Brightspace and clicking the link, “Brainfuse Online Tutoring," in the top menu. 2026-2027 FAFSA Application is now Open!The 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now OPEN! Please work with your student to submit this as soon as possible via studentaid.gov if they will be attending school during the next academic year (beginning in August for the Fall 2026 semester). The priority deadline for filing the FAFSA is January 15, 2026. ![]() Oct. 28 | Boo BashOn October 28th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., our family-friendly trunk-or-treat, Boo Bash, will be in the Tschoepe parking lot on the Seguin campus. This is a great time to bring the entire family together to enjoy free candy, refreshments, and photo opportunities. Alcohol and Sexual Assault Awareness EducationTLU partners with Vector LMS to provide engaging, research-based trainings that support a safe and healthy campus. All incoming students are required to complete the two-part “AlcoholEDU and Sexual Assault Prevention” online program, designed to help them navigate these important issues as they begin college. Login information was emailed to students the week of August 25. The deadline to complete the training has been extended. For help with login or access, students can contact ishelp@tlu.edu. TLU Food PantryIf your student is in need of food assistance at any point during the semester, they can request access to the TLU Food Pantry by completing a short Google Form. Once submitted, they’ll receive 24/7 access to the pantry, allowing them to use it whenever they need. Your student’s well-being matters to us! The Food Pantry is just one way we’re making sure they have the support and resources they need to succeed all year long. October is Depression & Mental Health Screening MonthOctober is Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, and we want to remind the TLU community that all students can speak to a counselor — free and confidentially — through the Student Health and Wellness Center or through TLU Care on the TimelyCare app. If you or someone you know is struggling, hope and guidance are available. Students can find mental health screenings on the student portal, along with links to schedule an appointment or access TLU Care. In a mental health crisis, anyone can call or text 988 for help. TLU + GivePulseVolunteerism is open to students and their families. To volunteer, students may visit our volunteer management system, GivePulse. Participating not only provides service opportunities but also helps students develop servant leadership skills that today’s employers highly value. TLU + TimelyCareAll Texas Lutheran Students have access to TimelyCare. This virtual health and well-being platform offers 24/7 virtual care at no cost to students anywhere in the US. They can diagnose and even call in prescriptions to your local pharmacy. Students can download the app in their app store or visit TimelyCare’s website.
