Calvary Haydon will re-open to visitors from tomorrowDate: 11 February 2022 To: All Staff – Calvary Haydon From: Karen Campbell, General Manager Aged Care– SA
I am pleased to inform you that all tested Calvary Haydon residents have received negative results from the latest round of testing. In line with Public Health Unit advice, we now are able to lift the current restrictions. We look forward to welcoming visitors back into the home from tomorrow, Saturday, 12 February 2022. Information and changes relating to visitors - Consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care, there is now no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day for homes where there is no outbreak.
- However, social distancing is still required and we ask visitors keep to a maximum of two (2) visitors per resident at any one time, and that visitation occurs in the resident’s room or outside. We have asked that communal areas not be used for visiting purposes.
- Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) whilst visiting. This includes an N95 face mask and shield. Calvary will provide visitors with the necessary PPE.
- All visitors will need to book their visit in advance. People should contact 6264 7400 during business hours to make their booking.
- Visiting hours are between 9am and 5pm, 7 days a week. This relates to visitors’ arrival on site. Once inside, visitors may stay longer.
- All visitors MUST provide evidence of having received the
COVID-19 booster vaccination or confirmation of their booking to receive the booster vaccination.
- As a precaution to keep our residents, staff and other visitors safe, all visitors exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms must not enter the home until they complete a rapid antigen test (RAT test) with a negative result.
- We understand that there may sometimes need to be exceptions to visiting hours. If so, please make prior arrangements with the General Manager – contact 6264 7400.
Thank you for all that you have done to ensure our residents continued to receive the safest possible care, with such empathy and compassion over this challenging time. We truly appreciate all of your hard
work.
