Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident or Family Member,

COVID-19 Update: Residents and Families at Calvary St Francis

I am pleased to inform you that no further positive cases have been detected amongst residents at Calvary St Francis in today’s testing.

The number of positive resident cases at Calvary St Francis remains at four (4), and these residents are currently isolating and receiving all care in their rooms.

Staff are in contact with the COVID positive residents’ families and keeping them informed.

We are continuing to liaise closely with the Hunter New England Public Health Unit as to when the current restrictions can be eased. We anticipate our next update to you will be early next week or as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, Calvary St Francis remains closed to visitors.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Sincerely,

Sandeep Kandel

General Manager, Aged Care.
