Hello PYSF Sailors and Families,

I am incredibly honored to step into the role of Executive Director for PYSF. This organization means so much to me; it represents not only my lifelong passion for sailing but also my dedication to introducing new people to the sport we all love.

Over the past year as Head of Programming and as a Head Coach, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the sailors and families who make up this remarkable community. These connections make me even more excited to expand my role and serve the organization in this new capacity.

Staying True to Our Mission

While leadership may transition, our core mission remains steadfast: Character, Community, and Competitiveness. My goal is to live this mission every day—whether on the water, in the classroom, or working with PY’s amazing community. Molly Vandemoer has done an amazing job over the years embodying these values and I’m happy she will be staying on PYSF’s Board of Directors. I want to thank her for her leadership and let you know that I plan to follow her example as I lead us forward.

Looking Ahead

To fulfill the PYSF mission, my immediate focus will be on:

• Instructional Excellence: Ensuring our coaching remains top-notch. I will continue to be active on the water, leading the 420 and High School programs.
• Diverse Perspectives: Bringing in new coaching voices to enhance the PYSF experience.
• A Permanent Home: Continuing our vision of building "centers of excellence"—places where the PYSF community can gather, learn, and grow together in a permanent home in Silicon Valley for generations to come.
