SH2 Remutaka Hill issue with escorted crossings |

Kia ora We would like to advise you that unfortunately there has been an error with escorted crossings bookings for the SH2 Remutaka Hill night closures, affecting any October and November bookings. We apologise for anyone who has been impacted by this error. There are only TWO escorted crossing times for October which are: 10.30pm Featherston to Hutt 11.30pm Hutt to Featherston The SH2 Remutaka Hill is closed for maintenance tonight, Tuesday 14 October to Thursday 16 October, 9pm to 4am. If you have made a booking for the times above, and you have received a booking confirmation from us and it is showing the correct times as above, please turn up as normal to the closure points. If you booked your crossing prior to August, we have discovered that there was an error with the crossing times on our website, and you may have booked the wrong time. Book your crossing here: Remutaka Hill Closure Escort Booking Form Book in advance by 4pm the day prior for weeknight closures. Escorted crossings are for light vehicles only, not heavy vehicles. November escorted crossings We are running the same closure times for November as well, and you can make your booking on our website. To confirm, these are also: 10.30pm Featherston to Hutt 11.30pm Hutt to Featherston 2026 escorted crossings You may notice that you can't book crossings for next year. We will notify you in the coming months about when you can make a booking. Reminder about SH2 Upper Hutt closures Please remember there are night closures in place in Upper Hutt between 9pm - 4.30am, with a detour in place between Fergusson Drive, Silverstream and Whakatiki Street. Traffic management set up is from 7pm, so please plan for delays and allow extra time for your journey to the Remutaka Hill.
