During November the BID Team have continued to consolidate the progress made in October by targeting the ongoing litter removal initiatives and quick response to fly tipping.

  • During October the BID Team has disposed of 980 kg of waste / rubbish / fly tipping that without the BID would have created significant litter and nuisance .
  • The BID’s maintenance team conduct weekly tours across Greenbank, Furthergate and Whitebirk quickly identifying areas of casual fly-tipping which much of it unfortunately appearing to be domestic waste.
  • All incidents of fly tippings are reported to the council’s cleansing team, who  have responded really well in many cases clearing it by the next day.
  • There are still signs of nitrous oxide gas being used at the weekends on the estate evidenced by the disposal of the large catering size pressurised cylinders.
  • The BID team are informing the police of any nitrous oxide incidents, due to harmful effects abuse of the gas can have on consumers.
