This fall, students are stepping into brand-new facilities with BayTech, Yu Ming, and CWC West Valley featured in this issue. Our teams are also rolling up their sleeves in the community, from volunteering at Thrive in Texas to hosting a job shadow in Washington. And we’re growing too—welcoming Crystal Langdon as our new Managing Director of Investments. Here’s to a great start to the school year. Warmly, John Sun, CEO BACK to SCHOOLBayTech’s First Permanent Home Makes Headlines on ABC-7After 21 years and seven relocations, Bay Area Technology School (BayTech) in Oakland has opened the doors to its first permanent facility—a historic theater transformed into a modern learning space. From state-of-the-art classrooms to a gym built where a stage once stood, this campus reflects the dedication of BayTech leaders, staff, and partners. It is more than just a building; it sends a clear message to students: your future matters. Yu Ming Celebrates New CampusesThis summer, Yu Ming Charter School completed renovations on its Adeline (Oakland) and Carolyn (San Leandro) campuses—both now owned by the school. In Oakland, rapid upgrades transformed the former school facility into a modern, inspiring space for collaboration and growth. In San Leandro, improvements created a safe and welcoming environment for the K–3 Mandarin Immersion program. With permanent homes in both communities, Yu Ming is building long-term stability for families while expanding access to bilingual education. Blueprint is proud to help create lasting spaces where students can thrive. CWC West Valley Welcomes Students to Updated CampusBack-to-school season is extra special at Citizens of the World West Valley as students returned to a brand-new classroom building, completed this summer as part of Phase II campus development in Northridge. The 9,000-square-foot addition includes six classrooms, gym upgrades, and expanded outdoor spaces—supporting the school’s growth to a full TK–8 program. Designed to foster continuity and connection for every learner, the new space reflects CWC’s joyful, rigorous, and inclusive model. Blueprint is proud to celebrate this milestone together. COMMUNITY IMPACTTexas Team Volunteers at Thrive Center for SuccessOur Texas team, led by Executive Director Eric Kot, recently volunteered at Thrive Center for Success, a tuition-free public charter school in Magnolia, TX, serving students with autism. From setting up classrooms to helping teachers prepare for the new school year, the team rolled up their sleeves and gave back where it matters most. We’re grateful to Thrive for welcoming us and proud of our team for showing up with heart. Exploring Real Estate Development: Job Shadow with James HeugasOur Washington Executive Director, James Heugas, recently hosted Aiden, a junior at Mercer Island High School, for a Job Shadow Day. Aiden got a front-row seat to real estate development in action—sitting in on meetings about environmental conditions, lease negotiations, and construction logistics for a new school in Colorado. He left inspired, with new insights for his upcoming college applications, where he plans to pursue Business Management with a focus on Real Estate Development.
