Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for General Practitioners

Dear General Practitioner,

Outbreak declared over at Calvary Tanilba Shores

Further to our recent update, we are pleased to inform our General Practitioners that all tested Calvary Tanilba Shores residents have now received negative results from the latest round of testing.

This means we now are able to lift the restrictions at Calvary Tanilba Shores in line with Public Health Unit advice, and visitors will be permitted entry to the home, subject to guidelines.

Are visitors allowed?

  • Calvary Tanilba Shores will reopen to visitors from 2 February 2022. Activities from this date will return to normal, consistent with Calvary’s COVID safe practices.
  • One single nominated visitor will be permitted per resident during the home’s visiting hours, due to the heightened risk of infection and community transmission. This will be in place until further notice.
  • Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, or who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided.
  • All GPs will be required to continue to wear appropriate PPE while on site.

We thank you for working with us to ensure residents continue to receive the best medical care in this challenging environment.

Sincerely,

Sandeep Kandel
General Manager Aged Car
