Improving bus travel along SH75 Halswell Road

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on our proposed improvements along Halswell Road.
We had a great response and thought you would be interested in what was said. You can read the engagement summary report, which outlines the main themes here.
The feedback, concerns and issues raised have been carefully considered by the project team.
The team is continuing to work through these, looking at ways to address concerns and make changes to the emerging option where it's appropriate, safe and possible to do so, bearing in mind the project objectives.
This feedback, together with the results from ongoing investigations, will help the project team to finalise the design.
The design will then go to Waka Kotahi and the NZ Upgrade Programme Governance Team for approval by the end of the year. Once approved, we'll be able to bring the final design back to stakeholders and the community.
Some people raised the speed along Halswell Road in their feedback. Speed is outside the scope of this project. However, through a separate project Waka Kotahi is currently seeking feedback on a review of speeds along the SH73 and SH75 Christchurch to Akaroa route.

Other comments and ideas that were outside the scope of this project have been passed on to the relevant organisations or teams within Waka Kotahi.
