Associate Minister of Transport, Julie Anne Genter launches engagement on Ngauranga to Petone design

We have reached a very exciting stage of the W2HV project!

Yesterday the Associate Minister of Transport, Julie Anne Genter announced the launch of public engagement on the concept design for the Ngauranga to Petone Section of the Wellington to Hutt Valley Walking and Cycling link.

This step in the process is really important. We want to gather as much feedback as we can. You can find out more about the project at www.nzta.govt.nz/w2hvlink, and provide feedback via Social Pinpoint at nzta.mysocialpinpoint.com/w2hvlink

Every comment and idea added to the Social Pinpoint map give us an indication of where we can provide more information for users, so over time you will notice improvements and additions to the map.

Funding approved to construct Petone to Melling section

Minister Genter also announced that funding has been approved for construction to begin on the Petone to Melling cycleway.

This means that the NZ Transport Agency can now continue discussions with potential contractors, and, depending on their availability and resourcing, start work before the end of the year.
