Thank you, teachers!Last Friday, 25 October, was World Teachers’ Day. Reflecting on the wonderful work that our teachers do in our Lutheran schools across Australia, we can see their positive influence on our students and in our school environments. Recently, the LCANZ General Convention of Synod was held at Concordia College’s Highgate campus. As part of the Board for LEA’s presentation to the Synod, one of the College’s School Captains, Georgina, gave a five-minute speech on why being part of a Lutheran school is important to her. It was a great encouragement to hear Georgina share how she has seen and experienced the Lutheran faith being “lived-out” in her school community and through the support of her teachers. You can watch the recording of her presentation here. I encourage you to share this with your leadership team, ministry staff and others. This edition of the LEA eNews provides updates on a variety of resources and events that we hope will serve to support our teachers and school communities to continue to build on what is so special about Lutheran schools. We thank and praise God for our teachers! VSC6 Now ReleasedWe are excited to announce that Valuing Safe Communities 6 (VSC6) has officially launched and is now available on the iLearn platform. Rebuilding the Christian Studies FrameworkWe are excited to share the significant progress in rebuilding the Christian Studies Framework and revising its curriculum. This project has been a collaborative effort, with over 40 dedicated teachers and leaders from 33 Lutheran schools and Early Learning Centres actively contributing through Reference and Focus groups. Christian Studies leaders from each region have also participated, offering valuable feedback and enthusiastic support for the project’s direction.
