Alcohol advertising in focus

You’d never expect to see alcohol ads during after school cartoons. So why sport?

Right now, loopholes in the TV industry’s self-regulated rules mean alcohol ads can run during live sport at any time of day – exposing and normalising harmful products to children.

That’s why Healthway supports clear, strong government-led rules that close these loopholes, make advertising line up with public health goals and put children’s wellbeing first.
