CLUBMAP Wrap - Issue 32 No images? Click here Welcome to the latest CLUBMAP Wrap! We're excited to share what we’ve been up to and what’s new in the world of community sport. CLUBMAP had a great opportunity to present at the recent Parks and Leisure Australia VIC/TAS Conference, where Terry spoke about the challenges facing grassroots clubs and why it’s nobody’s fault. Thanks to everyone who came along to the presentation or visited us to catch up and share ideas. If you missed his presentation, we have a link to the recording below. We’re excited to introduce CLUBHUB, our new online platform allowing governing bodies and councils the ability to support their clubs and volunteers with easy access to practical, expert guidance anytime, anywhere. With over 3,600 users already on board, CLUBHUB is helping make club development more accessible and sustainable for everyone involved. Terry will also present two workshops at this year’s National Sports Convention on Wednesday, 25 June, exploring practical strategies for grants, sponsorship, and modern fundraising. If you're attending, pop over to the workshops for real-world insights, case studies, and tools your club or organisation can use straight away. We’d love to see you there! If we haven’t already connected, you can find Terry on LinkedIn — he’s always up for a chat about what’s happening in your region or how we can better support your clubs. Read on for more updates, tools, and ideas to keep community sport strong.
Failure to plan is planning to fail. Set your organisation up for a sustainable, viable future with the right plans in place! Connect with Terry on LinkedIn for more Council and Governing Bodies content, updates and info! Missed Terry's session at the PLA VIC/TAS Conference? Terry’s talk, “Community clubs are in crisis — and it’s nobody’s fault”, is now available to watch on demand. We also introduced CLUBHUB — our practical online platform built to support clubs with tools, training, and templates. Catch up below if you couldn’t make it! The #1 online learning platform available to clubs and NFPs. Grassroots clubs are the foundations of elite sport, and they bring vitality and connection to local life. But they can be demanding for the people who run them, who often turn to councils and governing bodies when they need help. Now, the help they need is available on any platform or phone.
Finding the right funding can be a game-changer for community sporting clubs, helping to support everything from new programs and equipment to facility upgrades. Staying informed about these opportunities is key to making the most of what's available, so consider which grants might be a good fit for your club's needs. Below, we've highlighted upcoming grants available to clubs across Australia.
If CLUBMAP education and support could help your club go to the next level, but the club doesn’t have the necessary funds available, let us know. In many cases, we can help clubs find the funds. Our grants team are working with clubs around the country to support their grant applications. Our experienced team members know where to look for grants, who qualifies for what and how to put together a successful application – all at no cost to your club! Over recent months, the CLUBMAP team has prepared a number of blog posts with some valuable information for community sport. In this blog post, for National Volunteer Week last year, we shared insights and our experiences with volunteers, and our sentiments remain the same now. We feel extremely privileged to be working with so many great volunteers each year. Read more here. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic! Sometimes clubs know something's not quite right, but they don’t know what it is, which makes it very difficult to fix. Maybe you and a few other good people are doing too much of the work, volunteers are burning out, you're just keeping the club above water financially, and membership and sponsorships are constant challenges. If this sounds like your club, we'd love to help. Click below to book an obligation-free chat with the CLUBMAP team to discuss your club's situation and how to build a roadmap to a healthier future, along with help to identify a grant to pay for our support. We want to see people enjoying their clubs. |
