Chiltern Visitor Information Centre Update

Hello everyone,

Despite the cold and rainy June long weekend, we were delighted to see visitors still making their way to the historic Chiltern Courthouse to experience the Six Artists Exhibition, curated by renowned Beechworth artist Inga Hanover. The diverse collection featuring works from Sharon Barry, Chris Dormer, Louise Hazelton, Serena Rachel, Birgit Schonafinger and Tanya Webber showcased everything from weaving to watercolour, proving that even winter weather couldn't dampen the community's appreciation for local art.

We're sad to farewell Cheryl from Two Sisters on High as she officially retires at the end of June, closing this beloved Chiltern boutique that has been such a special part of our main street community. Cheryl and her sister have created countless memories helping customers dress for their special occasions, and while we'll miss seeing her warm smile in the shop, we wish her all the best for her well-deserved retirement and next adventure.

Don’t forget, the information centre team is here to assist you to create or renew your Explore Chiltern website business listing. Please join in and help make Chiltern’s online presence richer and our town a must-visit destination! Your website listing (technical term - Australian Tourism Data Warehouse or ‘ATDW’ listing) appears on our own Explore Chiltern website, the regional website Victoria’s High Country and Visit Victoria – one listing reaching an audience of millions.

Once again, your listing is totally free as Council is subsidising the cost of renewal for you (it’s normally $295). To receive your promo code for a free listing, or if you need any help, please contact the Rutherglen Visitor Information Centre on 02 6033 6306.

Have a fantastic fortnight.
