	Setting safer speeds for State Highway 2 from Mangatarata to Katikati

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is continuing to review speeds on state highways around New Zealand.

We are reviewing the speeds on State Highway 2 from the State Highway 2/State Highway 25 Mangatarata roundabout through to the Katikati township and we want to hear from you.

We’re engaging with the local communities and users of this stretch of road over the next five weeks.

The insights you share with us will feed into the technical reviews and help shape new proposed speeds, which will then be formally consulted on later in 2021.


	Between 2010 and 2019, 21 people died and 95 people were seriously injured on this road.
