Welcome to this edition of He Pānui - Te Māngai Pāho, keeping you up to date with the latest news in te reo Māori content and funding across Aotearoa! Post Matariki, there is a lot for us to come to grips with. This issue of our pānui is primarily about giving our funded entities a heads up on some work we are undertaking. Along with the additional funding we received in Budget 2022, we were asked to develop the capability to provide enhanced data and analysis to support a strong case for increased long-term funding. We have undertaken some preliminary work and need to talk to our content creators and platforms about what’s required to deliver that analysis. Our team is continually trying to improve the tools we have available and you may have noticed that there have been further enhancements to Te Pūahatanga. If there are any teething problems, we need to hear about them quickly so that our service provider can address them as soon as possible. The additional funding has given us an opportunity to review our funding timetable for the current financial year. Make sure you engage with the Funding Team to check what’s available when! Finally, there is a lot of work going on shaping the New Public Media Entity; preparing for the landing of the Māori Media Sector Shift; considering a refresh for Māori news and current affairs; and re-visiting our own strategies. We will be reaching out to you all for assistance with this work. Kia haumaru ai te noho. ![]() Larry Parr, ✨ Te Pūahatanga Makeover ✨New navigation sidebar and interface makeoverIn the past few months, we have made gradual improvements to Te Pūahatanga, including making it mobile-friendly. A modern sidebar has also been added to the desktop version of Te Pūahatanga, which aims to help you navigate the portal more easily and align better with the mobile experience. We've moved tasks and notifications 🔔 into the top navigation bar (by your profile) allowing for tasks and notifications
to be accessed from any page - not just the dashboard. That means the dashboard now has more space to display your grants summary cards and other widgets. ![]() Māori musicSoundCheck - Professional Respect Training Workshops If you're in Ōtepoti and haven’t been to a Professional Respect training day yet, register now!
