Western’s Centre for Animals on the Move is advancing global conservation through cutting-edge research to protect migratory species threatened by climate change and land use.

Collaboration Drives Implant Solutions

Western researchers are uniting dentistry and orthopaedics to investigate why implants fail and how to improve them. Supported through the Bone and Joint Institute, the interdisciplinary team aims to develop technologies and techniques to extend implant lifespan and improve patient outcomes.

Emergency Weather Siren Testing
Live testing of Western’s emergency weather siren will take place June 4 around noon. Unless otherwise notified, this is only a test. No action is required. Testing occurs the first Wednesday of every month from March to October.

FOGS Pollinator Garden Planting Day
Help expand our pollinator garden, a volunteer-led space on campus that supports local pollinators like native bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Hosted by the Friends of the Gardens, all are welcome to this event taking place in Middlesex Parking lot.

Margaret McGlynn to Lead Academic Planning, Policy and Faculty for Six-Year Term
Margaret McGlynn has been re-appointed Vice-Provost, Academic Planning, Policy and Faculty for a six-year term, effective July 1. McGlynn was originally appointed to the role in 2020.
