SH1 Mosgiel to Balclutha safety improvements

We want to update you on progress with this safety improvements project.

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback – we’ve had very useful discussions with the community at A&P Shows in Balclutha, Milton and Mosgiel and we also received feedback online and via email and telephone.

We wanted to find out how you use the road, what makes you feel unsafe and how we can make the road safer.  We use this feedback, together with information from discussions with a range of stakeholders, to develop options for safety improvements along the route to make it safer for everyone using the road.

You can find a summary of the feedback received here which sets out the main issues people are concerned about and what they think could change or be improved to make the road safer.

Final decisions on the safety improvements for this route will be made later this year - we will share these with you and the wider community.
