Testing will be conducted again and we will contact you when these results are received. The Public Health Unit have allowed all residents in the Bellbird wing to isolate to the household. Therefore, residents are able to move freely. The remaining COVID negative resident in Bellbird is being cared for in their room. COVID Positive residents in all other households continue to be cared for, in their rooms. Staff remain in full tier 3 PPE across the home. We understand that it is very difficult for residents to be cared for in their rooms. Please be assured that our team will continue to ensure the holistic care needs of all residents are met. Calvary Lakes Entrance remains open to visitors by exemption. All visitors will need to continue to wear a N95 & Face Shield and receive a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to entering the home. Please be assured that our staff have prepared for COVID-19 exposures and outbreaks such as this. Our staff are trained in strict infection control procedures and are focusing all of their attention on the individual care needs of residents. We will update you again as soon as any information becomes available. We know that this will be worrying for you and your loved ones in our care. We want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to continue to look after the health and wellbeing of all our residents while keeping them safe during this difficult time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends Thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this time.
Sincerely,
Jo Skonieczna General Manager Aged Care
