Aotearoa is currently at the Orange traffic light setting. Please visit the Unite Against Covid-19 website for a reminder of the regulations at this setting. Yesterday, the Ministry of Health confirmed that a new variant, BA.4 Omicron, has arrived in Aotearoa via a traveller from South Africa. This variant has also been detected in South Africa, Europe, and Australia a few days ago. According to authorities, BA.4 along with other Omicron subvariants, including XE and BA.5, are no more transmissible than Omicron, therefore the current health settings require no changes. Zoom Pharmacy - Available to all whānau in NZFor several years, Zoom Pharmacy has engaged with and supported whānau who live with long-term health conditions and complex medicine regimens. For this reason, Tāmaki DHBs nominated Zoom to provide free, specific COVID-19 antiviral medicines for at-risk whānau. Zoom Pharmacy offers a virtual pharmacy service; it receives prescriptions directly from prescribers and clinics, then a Zoom pharmacist contacts the client to ensure they support them in the best way possible. As DHB funding covers this service, it is free for whānau who take four or more daily (funded) medicines, including home delivery anywhere in NZ, even to rural addresses. The offer will remain active throughout the covid pandemic and thereafter. This free service makes it easier and more accessible for whānau to obtain medicines and take them consistently. Visit the Zoom Pharmacy website to sign up for this free service. If you have any pātai, you can contact the Zoom pharmacists and customer care team on 0508 966 622 during operating hours. Register your interest to attend an Edge training session online. Please send any queries related to Edge to support@edgelearning.co.nz.
