Our Next Meeting
Barnet VCFSE Environmental NetworkThursday 16 December, 10.30 - 12noon
If you've already been to a Barnet VCFSE Environmental Network meeting then you'll automatically receive an invite and zoom link for our 10th on 16 December. If you've not joined us yet, then do email Ellen. These are informal and informative
networking sessions for those working in the Barnet Voluntary, Community, Faith & Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, where we can come together to discuss environmental issues in the Borough, and work out how we as a sector can make a difference. This networking group will raise awareness of environmental projects that are happening in the Borough, help to establish partnerships and joint initiatives and seek funding opportunities. Craig Miller, Director of Barnet
Council's Street Scene will be joining us again on the 16 December from 11am - 12noon with an update on the Environmental Bill and COP26. If you have any topics you would like to raise/discuss at future meetings, do let Ellen know. FOR PAST E-NEWSLETTERS

Take Part in the Needs of the Sector Survey
Do complete by Monday 6 December!
Thanks. Barnet Together is a collaboration between Inclusion Barnet, Volunteering Barnet and the Young Barnet Foundation. We want to understand the experiences and the needs of the VCFSE organisations in Barnet after a period of extreme change and as we enter recovery from the pandemic.
By completing this survey, you will help build a picture of the support required to meet the needs of our sector over the next two years and support recovery from the pandemic and enable local groups to establish their sustainability.

Good news Craig will be joining us in December for an update on COP26 and to discuss the Waste and Recycling elements of the Environment Act that was passed into law earlier this month. Help is needed to plant trees for the new Memorial Woodland in Mill Hill
Come along and join in with others to plant 500 native trees from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 November, 11am until 3pm - stay for as little or as long as you like.
The new Memorial Woodland, which is due to open to the public in Spring 2022, will offer a space of reflection and healing to all residents. The woodland will include new walkways and a seating area and will be open all-year round. Many lives were lost since the start of the pandemic and Barnet Council hopes that our new woodland to help bring our community together as well as inspire hope and possibility for the future. A 5-year after-care plan has been agreed which will ensure the site remains a clean, safe space to visit.
Make sure you’re wrapped up warm and wear footwear, preferably wellies, and clothing you don’t mind getting muddy! Meet at the Flower Lane entrance to Mill Hill Park.
