It’s time to make Burnley bloom!
It’s time to install your Blooming Beautiful Burnley Window Display! Burnley BID has once again applied for Northwest in Bloom and it’s time for all our participating businesses to dress their windows as part of our Blooming Beautiful Burnley Floral Window Competition, part of this year’s Customer Service Awards.
We will be asking the judges from Northwest in Bloom to judge the town the window displays between July and August, whilst the public will also be able to place their votes via an online portal.
This a great opportunity to show off some creative flair! Displays must be completed by Sunday 30th June.
The winner will be presented with a trophy at the awards evening, to be held on Saturday 21st September at the Mechanics Theatre.
Watch out for further information on how to book your tickets for the Customer Service Awards. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful displays.
Employee of the Year nominations
Nominations for Employee of the Year have now closed. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry for one of their employees and we can’t wait to find out who will be this year’s winner!
After the success of last year’s event, we are excited to be holding our second annual Customer Service Awards on Saturday 21st September 2024.

Shoe Zone refurbishment
You may have noticed that Shoezone at Charter Walk Shopping Centre has been closed these past few weeks. It has been undergoing a refurbishment and will reopen to the public on June 22nd.

Free training for BID members
Our Burnley BID members can benefit from a range of free training courses and this month, we will be hosting a One-Day Level 3 Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Course on Monday 24th June 2024 from 9am – 4.45pm at The Landmark.

Sign up for your free place at the Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness training
Burnley BID have been offered a limited number of FREE places for the Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness training, which is taking place on Wednesday 19th June, 10am - 12noon at Burnley Town Hall.
The training provides an awareness presentation which is designed to raise awareness of the threat from terrorism and actions they can take to protect themselves, their organisation, business, and events from or during an attack. This training is led by the Counter Terrorism Security Adviser for the Northwest and is simply an opportunity to enhance your understanding of the potential actions you could take.
