Infant Deaths from RSV Are Much Higher than Previously Known

A new study found that nearly 1 in 10 of all deceased infants under 6 months old in Zambia were infected with respiratory syncytial virus. Mortality from the disease is prevalent in low- and middle-income countries, where healthcare resources are limited.
