Road safety worksheets out now

Kia ora,
You’re among the first to access our new road safety worksheets (whārangi mahi) aimed at multiple year levels up to secondary school.

  • Teachers can use these worksheets for short lessons about road safety.
  • Five worksheets per year group: Years 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10.
  • Each worksheet available in English and te reo Māori.

Most worksheets are 1 to 4 pages and include self-contained age-appropriate lessons that grow critical thinking and creativity.

Teacher support material is included.

Road Safety Week is very soon

The road safety worksheets will be officially launched during Road Safety Week, 20-26 May.

Road Safety Week is a nationwide event coordinated by charity Brake New Zealand, with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi a key sponsor.

Teachers can sign up to Road Safety Week to get a free electronic action pack of activity ideas and resources.

School are encouraged to organise a day when students dress up as superheroes.
