In December 2025, NZTA lodged applications for statutory approvals for the Te Ara Hauāuru - Northwest Busway project under the Fast-track Approvals Act (FTAA).
The consent application documents are now available on the Fast-track website: http://www.fasttrack.govt.nz/projects/north-west-rapid-transit
The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) will appoint an independent panel to consider the applications, and we anticipate the panel will be appointed in March 2026. Exact timing will be determined by the EPA.
