Members of Victor Harbor Lutheran Church, South Australia, and representatives of nearby Encounter Lutheran College and the area's Aboriginal community gathered on Sunday to mark a special anniversary – 180 years since Encounter Bay's first mission school opened, a move that would help keep the local First Nations language alive until today. The LCA Child Safety Standards Action Plans for Round 2 are due to be submitted by 31 March 2025. The new Child Safety Standards online portal is now live and can be accessed from the Child Safety Standards webpage. Updated tools and guide documents are also available on the website to assist congregations with the process. Read more

Many congregations hold AGMs around this time of year and may elect new council leaders. If your church has new office-bearers – or if they've stayed the same – please ensure the details are up-to-date in LAMP2. That way, you won’t miss out on any important information from your district and the Churchwide Office. Read more

At the time of writing, $21,836.30 has been contributed to the General Synod offering, which will support the Lutheran Study Centre (LSC) in Pematangsiantar in northern Sumatra, Indonesia. There is still time for congregations and individuals to contribute to the Synod offering. Read more
