Pioneer Youth Chapel

The Pioneer Women’s Ministries is sponsoring the "True Confidence" seminar that will take place this afternoon, October 1, starting promptly at 2:30 p.m. in the PMC Youth Chapel. Every girl and woman is valued in God’s eyes.

Here are some of the topics that will be discussed by our speakers, Lisa Sawvel and Tamara Conway: Personal identity—Rejection—Labels—Emotional pain—Negative messages—Life choices—Lies we believe—Being a people pleaser—How to master our emotions—Developing emotional maturity—Who Jesus says we are—How the Gospel addresses our fears—How the Holy Spirit helps us move from coping to healing.

The Director of Women's Ministries for the Michigan Conference, Jane Harris, will also be joining us, along with Brianna Kittleson, Public Campus Ministries administrative assistant. We pray you will join us for this inspiring seminar.

Watch Your Mail Box for a Special Letter

A snail mail letter is on its way to your mail box, if you’re a member of the Pioneer Family. Don’t look for it in your email inbox. Don’t hunt for it among your text messages or social media pages. Expect this courtesy-of-the-United-States-Postal-Service letter to show up wherever you receive your snail mail. Don’t be tempted to toss it away as 3rd class mail. Simply rip the envelope open. You’ll appreciate what’s inside!

John 15:4 “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” We worship God with our resources as a response to the call to bear fruits. John the Baptist appealed to those who were coming to him for baptism: “Produce fruit in keeping with your repentance.” (Matt. 3:8). For John, baptism and being part of God’s people were not sufficient. The Gospel of Luke shares some concrete examples of the “fruit of our repentance” that John the Baptist gave to those who came to him. He asked the tax collector not to collect any more than was required. He exhorted the soldiers not to “extort money” and “be content with your pay.”
