Old Beechworth Gaol is running a new Family Tour every day these school holidays at 10:00am. It’s fun, interactive and perfect for curious little minds (and grown-ups too!). Join the OBG's History Essentials Tour for a more in-depth glimpse into colonial prison conditions, notorious inmates, the gallows and more recent times, before the gaol was decommissioned in 2004. Additional tour times will be on offer throughout the school holidays. Beechworth Berries is open each day from 8:00am - 4:00pm for some school holiday fun, with beautiful, sweet, juicy berries waiting to be picked. Europa Gully Orchard is also open for apple picking on Saturdays 1:00pm 4:00pm and Sundays 10:00am - 4:00pm. SURROUNDS exhibition launchOld Stone Hall The highly anticipated SURROUNDS exhibition opens next Wednesday evening, bringing together an impressive collection of landscape-focused works from both regional and metropolitan visual artists. This curated group exhibition, which alternates with the popular Bienniale show "Still Life Love," explores diverse interpretations of landscapes - both natural and built environments - through the unique perspectives of eighteen talented artists including Emma White, R'baahn Lah, Margaret Carey, and Erin Davis Hartwig, among others. Drive Back In Time will return to its original location in Ford Street Beechworth (which will be closed to traffic) with further vehicles and engines on display in the Police Paddocks. Altogether, approximately 250 vehicles will be on show. The Old Cranks Motor Club will also run the historic Crossley Engine in Wallace Park.
