Waimakariri Bridge contraflow traffic management over the weekend and changes to on-ramps

Just a reminder that this weekend from Friday evening 6pm till Monday morning 5.30am (10 to 13 May) the northbound Waimakariri Motorway Bridge will be closed. Contraflow traffic control will divert all traffic onto the southbound bridge - one lane in each direction. 

To limit the amount of traffic on the bridge access at the Tram Road on-ramp and the Chaneys on-ramp will be closed from 7am till 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. The left turn from Marshland Road into Main North Road will also be closed.

Please merge like a zip before you reach the bridge to help keep traffic moving efficiently. During the contraflow there will be a 60 km/h speed limit in place on the bridge.

Cranford Street - No entry to Weston Road

We informed you earlier that we would be doing the kerbs on the east side of Cranford Street between McFaddens Road and Weston Road and there would be no entry to Cranford Street from Weston Road. We are sorry, but we have to reschedule this to sometime in June. More info to come.
