The CLUBMAP Grants team is growing, and we are committed to providing clubs across Australia with information and resources to secure more funding. A reminder that the Grants Team can now assist clubs with a range of different applications, but as always, CLUBMAP's grant services are free when applying for CLUBMAP's range of services. Below you will find some grants that are open, or opening soon: The Grassroots Cricket Fund aims to strengthen grassroots cricket in line with the Australian Cricket Strategy’s vision of creating Brilliant Experiences and Boosting Participation Growth. Eligible clubs can apply for up to $3,500. This grant can fund CLUBMAP’s Planning Workshop, which helps clubs operate more efficiently, raise more funds, and get more people involved. When applying for CLUBMAP services, we can facilitate your application at NO COST to your club. Applications open on Monday, 26 August. This is a great opportunity for cricket clubs. The CLUBMAP Grants Team has helped many clubs to secure funding in previous years, but you must be eligible to apply. We can only assist a limited number of clubs, so get in quick to set up a FREE chat to discuss your club’s eligibility, and how we can help you develop your application. Email info@clubmap.com.au for more information. Check out a recent success story below. Legana Cricket Club is a great example of a club that was successful in this grant program to fund our workshop about 18 months ago. Legana Cricket Club faced many challenges a year ago. With a structure designed for a smaller club, they struggled with volunteer burnout, limited community engagement, and inadequate facilities. However, following their work with CLUBMAP, the club has made significant strides in improving its operations, community presence, and overall club culture. This success story is a shining example of how a passionate committee, armed with the right tools and funding can revitalise a local sports club. Twelve months after securing funding through the Grassroots Cricket Fund Grant and working with CLUBMAP, we caught up with Chris Demeyer, the club's president. Watch the video below, or click here to watch in full. Click here to learn more about Legana's inspiring story. Quite a number of state grants will be opening in the next couple of months. The next edition of the Wrap will have a lot more information on those. However, there are a significant number of council grants open currently all around the country. As always, we suggest checking your local council's website. Sometimes clubs know something's not quite right, but they don’t know what it is, which makes it very difficult to fix. Maybe a few good people are doing too much work, volunteers are burnt out, you're just keeping the club above water financially, and membership and sponsorships are a challenge. If this sounds like your club, we'd love to help. An obligation-free chat with the CLUBMAP team to discuss your club's situation, and how to build a roadmap to get the club moving forward again. We want to see people enjoying their clubs. The topic of club development has once again been brought to the forefront as community clubs continue to seek assistance and direction. We penned a blog post late last year, discussing a question that had been bubbling away for some time, whether sport in Australia has the balance right between the focus on participation growth vs club development and organisational sustainability? We'd love to hear your thoughts on the topic. Email us at info@clubmap.com.au or share your thoughts in our CLUBMAP Community Facebook Group. |
